*Develop a plan, research your location, and a safe route away from large populations such as cities.

*Prepare to make a trench for the actual Shift date, and temporary shelter for the week of rotation stoppage and the months afterwards, with short term supplies.

*To establish energy sources for heat & power.

*Garden with seed supplies, and low maintenance flocks & herds. Fishing and hunting as the area may support.

*Be part of a team, have an action plan, to keep people busy and collect books for future reference.

*Keep your bearings.

*Panic, and make a big operation out of your plans.

*Overstock OR hoard.

*Remembering the lessons of hurricane Katrina...
Don't plan on government assistance as camps are likely to become slave labor camps!

*Rely on money to buy comfort in the near future, or gather things that can not be bartered with.

*Go it alone, or be in the heavy traffic lanes.

*Expect electronics to work, or to be rescued by overworked emergency response teams.

And remember never to reveal, publicly, where your survival site is located ...
Or give personal information on a list or in a chat. Keep this information close...
Use private e-mail, for any such information exchange.
